COP27 – All things considered: the role of expert advice in climate-related crises

This session discussed the role of expert advice in strategic crisis management.

Adaptation is part of our response to climate change. The goal is to reduce our vulnerability to its harmful immediate effects, whether we consider rising sea levels, more frequent and intense extreme weather events or the long-term impact on food, water and energy security.

To anticipate and manage the future crises induced by climate change, policymakers will continue to need expert advice.
