Academia Europaea and ALLEA to hold joint annual conference

Academia Europaea and ALLEA have joined forces to organise their first joint international conference in partnership with the Young Academy of Europe (YAE) and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

The meeting will take place in Budapest, Hungary, in the historic building of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 4, 5 and 6 of September 2017, with a number of pre-conference workshops on 3 September and a post-conference field trip on 7 September.

Sustainability and Resilience is the main topic of the conference, which will focus primarily on Europe to explore various aspects of Europe’s Sustainability and Resilience: its heritage, its social system, its health, its economy, its climate, its science and research landscape.

ALLEA calls for contributions on FAIR data in the Humanities

At the General Assembly on 8th May 2019, the ALLEA E-Humanities Working Group launched open consultations on draft recommendations for humanities researchers working with data. The goal is to gather broad feedback from active humanities researchers and tailor the recommendations on Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reproducible (FAIR) data to community needs.
